Kumar Gallery presents ‘Sohan Qadri: Paintings from 1972 - 2010’ (oil on impasto on canvas, and ink dyes & incision on paper). The artist’s film ‘Journey into Silence’ will also be screened throughout the duration of the exhibition.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Sohan Qadri emerges as a rare and original painter. You may look at his paintings as yantras or mandalas and describe them with words that are mantras. You may look at his paintings as symbolic representations of Kundalini, the ‘serpent-power.’ You may look at his paintings as mere form and colour and enjoy them as pure art. No matter what angles you choose to look at his work from, it reveals one great aspect - that of mysticism.”
